  • Let’s Try This Mess Again

So I did it again and didn’t update this blog for six months. That’s my bad. I’m not gonna make crazy claims like I can be consistent, or I won’t… Read more

  • I’ll probably keep doing this.

What’s funny is that I did exactly the thing I knew I was going to do, and got in my own head. What’s funny is that the post immediately before… Read more

  • Chapter One Retrospective

“Okay, hello, welcome to what is going to be chapter one of The Lesser. I haven’t done anything like this before (as far as recording while I’m writing goes) so… Read more

  • Novel Notes #3 – Crafting A Detailed Outline (or how we’re gonna get there)

Today we’re getting into the real nitty-gritty, the deep and detailed beat-for-beat outline for the novel I’ll be working on for this blog. I’m not going to break it into… Read more

  • Novel Notes #2 – Outlining

Welcome to the Workshop!

I’m Felix, a writer with 25+ years of experience (self-taught, so take that with a grain of salt) and a passion for helping other writers hone and maintain their voice. I’m trying to create a space with clear demonstrations of the writing and editing process because sometimes seeing how something is done is a lot more helpful than being told how you could do it. I’m always happy to help, and I love reading work from new writers.

Finally published my first book! You can check it out here! I’m very excited!
